Student Life
Life at FCC
Whether you are attending class or participating in student activities, FCC is the ideal environment for achieving both your academic and personal goals. On the first day of class, expect to enjoy small classes with a student-to-instructor ratio of 10 to 1. Don’t be surprised if students are not only encouraged but eager to participate in ad hoc groupings for joint study and research. It is this small community feel, commitment from the student body, and dedication from the staff that allows our students to quickly connect with peers, teachers, mentors and members of the fashion community.
Student Activities
Following are just a few of the student activities available to you at FCC.
The Golden Hangers - By far, the highlight of the year at FCC is undoubtedly the Golden Hanger Fashion Awards, a benefit for the Make-A-Wish Foundation that showcases our students’ skills and talents. An exciting time for both students and industry professionals, each year, FCC awards a noted member of the fashion community the Annual Lifetime Achievement Award.

Study tours - From Los Angeles to New York and as far away as Europe, a visit to the fashion capitals of the world is intended to enhance the things you learn in the classroom as well as your overall experience at FCC. Escorted by FCC administrators and instructors, students may earn one or two additional academic credits by completing the requirements of the study tour. All fashion tours are optional. The cost of participating in a study tour is not included in the price of tuition.
