FCC Students Doing Thier Part To Go "Green"
The downtown business association of Escondido hosted their first annual Fashion Week on May 5-10, 2008. The event showcased San Diego artists from a variety of fields including fashion, make-up, hair and home accessories.
Fashion Careers College students Ernie Flores and Robert Ortiz participated by entering a collection of dresses in a runway show that featured recycled materials. Robert's collection made purely from recycled black trash bags won second place and a cash prize of $350! Ernie created a collection with paper streamers, leaves and flowers. Both Robert and Ernie did an outstanding job.
FCC strives to help save our planet by recycling, reusing and reducing. We are proud to have our students jumping on the "socially conscious bandwagon to go green" with us.
